By listening to what your clients and fellow co-workers want, you will be able to set goals to benefit all parties involved. You will become knowledgeable in many elements of the business as you listen to what others are interested in. A knowledgeable worker is respected by fellow co-workers and customers. Research, ask questions, monitor employees that are currently in management, and appear confident.

Be willing and be ready to work with all types of people. When you are wanting to land a job in retail management, do not be afraid to show off your people skills.
