Overview:
The Category Enablement Planner is responsible for supporting the Demand Planning & Demand Forecasting process on the Category Teams. This role leverages in-depth business, supply chain knowledge & Demand Planning and Forecasting expertise to maximize the productivity of company inventory assets. This is done through partnering with the Category Leaders on Demand Planning & Forecasting strategy and driving system utilization through process/best practice development, training delivery, in-direct management/mentorship & day to day support of assigned Demand Planning Analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver best practice through the coaching, training and mentoring of Demand Planning Analysts in using AIP/IP/RDF to deliver optimal business results
Partner with Category Team Leadership to ensure business outcomes are met and multi-channel inventory performance is maximized
Collaborate with the broader Category Enablement team representing the nuances of the business supported, but focused on solutions which can benefit all teams and ensure successful alignment of RDF/AIP/IP
Maintain business rhythms designed to guide consistent behaviors through education, execution and inventory management acumen for the core team
Participate in the definition and coordination of unique inventory strategies for key events, transitions, and project implementations balancing the needs of dot com and retail
Represent the needs of the core business by serving as Subject Matter Expert in areas impacting purchasing and disposition of inventory, as well as forecasting
Serve as liaison with cross-functional teams utilizing knowledge of specific business model,
strategies, and system capabilities to define future needs
Interact with multiple levels of the organization and play a key role providing a forecasting and inventory perspective on various company and business team initiatives.
Utilize internal and external resources to define opportunities to improve business results through inventory & forecasting management
Minimum Qualifications:
3 years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Chain, Business Management, Retail or Inventory Management
Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and at multiple levels of an organization
Strong written & oral communication skills, as well as a high level of responsibility
Aptitude & passion for problem solving, educating, motivating and influencing others to consistently achieve optimal outcomes
Demonstrated high level of organizational & time management skills
Demonstrated ability & curiosity of learning new complex process/systems/skills with the goal to translate and educate others
