Service Modernization - VP, Retail Product Architect About Service ModernizationFrom time immemorial, humans have been of service to each other in a myriad of ways using their intellect, language, and experience. However, with the invention of machines, machines also began to serve humans. Over time, machines have become extraordinarily sophisticated particularly with the advent of AI. Today, a Service Provider and a Service Recipient could be a human or a machine providing services to each other.
In this context, Service Modernization refers to a comprehensive suite of AI use cases that enable enterprises to serve and service its customers across various touchpoints by:
Having an acute understanding of each customer's service profile
Delivering superior service experiences proactively, preemptively and on-demand with an appreciation of the context, persona, and journey
Using machine learning algorithms to optimize and automate an enterprise's service operation
Employing current and emerging technologies such as connected things, AR/VR, NLP for effective customer engagement.VP Retail Product Architect Role Adept at current retail industry trends and plays the role of VP, Retail Product Architect with a comprehensive understanding and experience in retail industry. Leads solution planning and solution roadmap. Identifies industry specific workflows, sub-systems and processes that lend itself to Service Modernization. Works with the functional and technical architects to determine interaction between various functional modules within the solution blueprint and their interaction with external retail systems. Responsibilities
Conceives how the service will be modernized and constructs roadmap with a deep understanding of the retail industry using existing and evolving technology trends
Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes and prioritize activities aligned to business and customer impact
Analyzes the use cases and outlines prototype requirements needed to build wireframes, mockups, and non-software prototypes for validating the solution and use cases
Documents user scenarios and break them down into functional (epics and user stories) and non-functional requirements
Plays the role of Industry SME/Retail System Architect and delivers system and functional architectures for the solution
Works with Technical Architects to capture interactions between modules/sub-systems within the solution and the Retail sub-systems to deliver Enterprise Systems Integration Architecture
Analyzes, selects, and validates retail ecosystem and COTS solutions
Works with UX designers to deliver UI/UX and visual design for the solution
Liaises between development and validation teams for efficient test case/test plan creations and plays the primary role for solution acceptance
Liaises between business owners and development partners to align the demands and critical priorities and ensures that requirements are adhered to
Maintains and updates documents at regular intervals
Works with technical writers in creation of end-user documents
Acts as a solution evangelist to build awareness and understanding
Skills
15 years of experience collaborating with various teams, stakeholders, groups, and/or organizations
5 years of experience in a retail Product Architect role, who has attained a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information or Management Systems
Experience with Grocery clients is a plus
Proven track record of having played Product Architect role in the past with retail and interfacing with business, development partners and testing teams
Technical and business domain knowledge within retail industry
Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
Strong problem solving and analytical thinking
Knowledge of system development life cycle, data transformations, COTS solutions and, testing strategies
Extensive experience in business process documentation and presentation findings
Experience working in large enterprises and teams spread across the world
Strong customer orientation and attention to details
