Best Buy is looking for an experienced consumer insight professional to join Best Buy's Enterprise Research (ER) team. The mission of the ER Team is to support enterprise decision-making and strategy development by providing relevant industry, brand and consumer insights—and to ensure the insights are shared, understood, contextualized, and used in service of the customer and the growth of the enterprise. This individual will develop and lead important insight programs in support of Best Buy Health to drive insights designed to provide a strong foundation for the health strategy development rooted in the voice of the consumer. This role will work together with internal Best Buy teams to embed learning plans throughout the strategic development process and execute research and insight plans to inform key decision points.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to bring strategic consumer and market insights to the forefront from multiple data sets through partnership with multiple constituents. In addition, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience partnering with teams to design and implement consumer/customer and B2B research studies with healthcare companies in a retail and/or healthcare environment, or conducting this type of work on behalf of a retail and/or healthcare client.
Key Responsibilities
Translate business questions into learning plans and then lead, develop, design and conduct primary research studies to enable a synthesis of data to develop insights
Effectively integrate different types of insights to tell a holistic story that meets the overall needs of Best Buy Health
Be an advocate and voice for the customer/consumer
Ensure effective communication of market and consumer data, including synthesizing them into insights for action
Manage third party vendors to ensure learning objectives are met and quality research standards are maintained
Find opportunities to develop and champion the use of new research methods to address unique research challenges and evolving trends
Remain abreast of best practices within the discipline and research methods employed, including the latest evolutions of approaches as the industry develops
Experience:
6 years’ experience in market and consumer research, insights or related area
2 years’ managerial or cross functional leadership experience
4 years’ research, analytics, statistics, and/or database knowledge and experience (using tools, applications, platforms, etc.)
Experience leading research or insights projects within the healthcare industry
Ability to identify new issues, trends and opportunities from data
Intermediate MS Excel and PowerPoint skills (ability to build comprehensive presentations)
