Retail Construction Jobs description
Retail construction jobs require professionals to have a thorough knowledge of construction planning and technology. Responsibilities include managing the processes related to strategic planning, construction, and design of the retail establishment; supervising preparation of drawings right from concept stage to the detailed design engineering; and supervising civil works related to electrical, furniture, and other aspects of retail store design and execution. A retail construction professional should establish and maintain a network of contractors, suppliers, and vendors, and is responsible for negotiating prices and contracts with them as well as payment of related bills. A retail construction job profile requires strong consultative selling skills and an understanding of customer requirements and plan designs so as to position the products accordingly.A retail construction professional should have a bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering with prior experience in project management. Effective communication skills and knowledge of MS Project or Primavera is an advantage.
